Monument in Memory of General Anthony Waye

On this day Wayne County was named in honor of General Anthony Wayne.

At the time, it consisted of nearly all of the present state of Michigan and portions of Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, including the present sites of Milwaukee and Chicago, and parts of Fort Wayne and Cleveland.
