1979 : Anti-Disco Event Forces Chicago White Sox to Forfeit Game to Detroit

On this day in Chicago, the Detroit Tigers won the second game of a doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox by forfeit when an estimated 5,000 to 10,000 people swarmed out of the stands during a between games, anti-disco-music promotion and made the field unplayable.

Detroit Tiger fans will also be glad to know that they won the first game of the double header too.
