Tomlin at the 2014 Kennedy Center Honors
Tomlin was born in Detroit, Michigan, and attended Cass Technical High School. and Wayne State University, before she was bitten by the comedy bug and became an actress and comedian.
She made a name for herself on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, starred in many movies such as 9 to 5, Tea with Mussolini, and Nashville,and currently stars in the Netflix Series Grace and Frankie.
