Watch the launch of Hull 301 (the Edmund Fitzgerald) built by the shipbuilders and engineers of the Great Lakes Engineering Works of River Rouge, Michigan. One can feel the excitement in the air. Little does anyone know that the Edmund Fitzgerald would eventually be lost with all hands in the gales of November on Lake Superior. (Silent film)
